I purchased Jeff Bedrick's "Light of the East" acrylic painting from the estate of a dear friend of mine who died in 1995.
It has moss green velveteen (?) inner matting, and a wooden outer frame - both in excellent condition.
I've noticed this painting comes alive at dusk and nighttime.
It is very peaceful to look at and the tea room has many surprises when you 'enter' it.
It is very intricate.
Commentary by the Artist:
After the success of early epic scale landscape paintings like The Immmortal Light,
I tried a few variations in different settings like this and Song of the Serengeti.
The colors in the original are extremely subtle and difficult to reproduce.
This image was the cover of the Marin County (California) Phone Book a few years ago.
