A 30 minute video program by Iasos. "CRYSTAL VISTA" is Iasos' visualizations to four of his own musical compositions. These musical visions take you on an other-worldy journey filled with highly colorful special-effects and heavenly images, creating a captivating and uplifting half-hour experience that remains fascinating even with repeated viewing. "CRYSTAL VISTA" truly transports you on a journey through inter-dimensional spaces.
          In 1982, Iasos, along with his colleague Ken Jenkins, began what is now known as  "New Age" Video, with Ken releasing his video "Beauty", and Iasos releasing his video "Crystal Vista". Ken and Iasos both collaborated on each other's project.
          The VISUALS: The visuals are a blend of special effects and still-images. The still images include many of the best images by most of the top visionary artists of our age, including Gilbert Williams and many others. In fact, many people think of this video program as a showcase for most of the top visionary painters of our age. Other images are nature photography and special-effects photography. The dynamic special effects include computer graphics, video effects, optical effects by Ken Jenkins, and also numerous film-based effects. Ken Jenkins was the assistant-producer for this project. This video is so densely packed with interesting visuals, that even with repeated viewing, you can continue to notice new things each time you view it.    

Note:  Since this was created in 1980, you should not expect the video-quality or the special-effects-sophistication of current DVDs.  The visual quality is somewhat like that of a VHS tape.  However, we did re-master it digitally as cleanly as we could.

The MUSIC on this dvd: 

* "CRYSTAL VISTA" won FIRST PRIZE in "Video Art" at the national SANTA CRUZ VIDEO FESTIVAL of 1984.

* Also, the annual national CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES) in 1984 selected "CRYSTAL VISTA" as being "One of the most original programs of the year" and awarded Iasos a plaque in honor of "outstanding original programming".  The CES Show is the largest such national show in the country.

"The dvd was a wonderful experience! I watched it in the afternoon and evening and I found that when the room is dark the colours are that much more vibrant. Something as simple as having the room dark while watching the video really brought out the visuals--which are beautiful.
Also Iasos it's like I visited another dimension compliments of your work. You can see it is very detailed and I know your dvd that you are working on "Realms of Light' will be beautiful too. Some of the pulsating forms were familiar to me for some reason. Anyways it was a real treat to say the least.
I'm very excited about this dvd and so I am going to order one for my friend whom I'm sure will love it. Also I am going to lend my copy to my friend at Hospice to see if she would be interested in having a room set up to play this dvd for clients. If so I will buy Hospice a copy for them. I have just been watching My "Crystal Vista" DVD and, as always when I listen to your music and experience your art, I feel very much closer to God. I had to write and say love you! Those paintings are so awesome. I've long been a fan of Gilbert Williams. I have his "Moon Temple" poster hanging on my office wall, right in front of my desk. And all the other artists are fantastic too. I can't believe the date at the end of the video says 1982! It seems so new!!!!!
