Brian is recently deceased and is considered one of the top visionary artists of our age. Brian's work was and still is highly respected by his fellow painters.  He is one of the featured artists on Iasos video "Crystal Vista".   Brian's art has always been characterized by a wildly uninhibited imagination!   His daughter, Amanda McGovern, has recently created a wonderful website dedicated to Brian's art.  If you enjoy these images, we encourage you to see the wondrous and very extensive collection of his images at the Brian McGovern Gallery that his daughter Amanda created.

           This painting has an interesting history, as Brian recounted the tale to Iasos many years ago:   It started out as the painting shown just above it - "Waterfall".   When Brian had finished that painting and asked his girlfriend what he thought of it, she said she thought it was much too "busy".  Accordingly  (much to Iasos' regret), Brian totally repainted that painting, and then decided that it had become way too "barren".  So he painted over it a 3rd time, turning it into what is shown above - "Amber Dome".   So "Amber Dome" is actually Version 3, of what was "Waterfall" when it was Version 1.
           Brian and Iasos used to share their creations with each other.   Once Brian visited Iasos and brought his latest paintings with him.  Iasos played Brian one of his latest musical creations, which impressed Brian so much, that he instantly decided he wanted to give Iasos any one of his paintings.   Iasos selected this one.    Brian just "happened" to have it in his car, so he rushed out and came back, handing the actual painting to Iasos - as a gift!
